Today's Friday I'm in Love is all about white floors. I have always admired interiors with white floors but never felt 'brave' enough to dare painting my floorboards white . When we moved in this flat, we knew straight away some of the floors would be an issue. I am very allergic to dust etc and for me carpet is a nightmare, no matter how many times you clean it, it just has years of dust and various things deep inside the fiber of the carpet...ugh. I start to sneeze just thinking about it. One of the bigger room at the front had electric blue carpet that had been laid in 1992 ( I found the receipt when I lifted it up). I was badly stained and just looked horrible. So we decided to have a look at what was underneath. There were floorboards but they weren't beautiful oak or anything like that. They were just new thick rough wood board that had been put in instead of the old boards when the central heating system was installed. So sanding them was out of the questions as it would have looked horrible. So we decided to fill in the bigger gaps and paint the floors white. And oh my I love it. It is much easier to maintain than carpets; a quick hoover and mop and we are good to go! It brightens up the room and bounces the light around. I love them...Only downside is now that my floors are nice and white I realised the walls could really do with a coat of paint and so does the woodwork...so we still have a room in progress. But now I have reached that milestone and I am in the white floor club (whoohoo!) I feel like every floor in the house could do with this treatment!! Allen, we have a long road ahead of us:) Anyhow to give you a bit of inspiration I have gathered all my favourite white floorboard interiors. What do you think? Are you ready to take the plunge?

As much as I love a lot of black and white, I think I like colour too much and I particularly love white with colours either bright or pastel. It is just so fresh and clean looking! So come on grab a brush and a pot of floor paint and get to it!!
Have a nice weekend!

Sounds beautiful. I have a friend in Bristol who lives in former Victoria police station. The bathroom was white with warm dark slate flooring and there are handcuffs hanging in there! I also remember the guest bedroom, again, all white and lovely floor boards, original black iron fireplace. Colourful bed spread. Really lovely. Yas
Your kitchen looks beautiful and amazing!
Unfortunately Helen it's not my kitchen...i wish tough:)
